It is our aim to develop and expand pupils’ knowledge and ability through design and make tasks in different areas including cooking and pneumatics. They will develop problem solving skills through practical experience. Children are encouraged to suggest improvements to their designs and apply their knowledge to future projects.

We have sampled several unfamiliar seasonal foods and learnt how to cook them. We visited Mr. Backhouse's allotment to see what is ready to harvest and he told us about what he grows. Then, we planned and made a variety of savoury and sweet seasonal dishes, including Crunchy Garlic Chicken, Vegetable Pasta Bake and Carrot Cake.
